The Tyler Municipal Rose Garden spans 14 acres and is home to over 38,000 rose bushes in nearly 500 different varieties. Every visitor to the garden is amazed by the wide variety of roses found here, from rose trees boasting large roses to miniature roses the size of your fingertip.
Visitors cannot only view their favorite type of rose but also new varieties that are being tested. One of 24 All American Rose Selection test gardens, The Tyler Municipal Rose Garden evaluates new rose varieties over a two-year span. If the testing varieties pass the two-year test, then those roses will become available to the gardening public.
