The Orlando World Center Marriott is 10 minutes from Disney, a great place to be when you want to have fun in the water in between exploring the parks. It includes a super-fast 90-foot-long water slide and two winding 200-foot-long water slides. When you want to relax, enjoy the oasis pool and hot tub grotto that sits beneath a waterfall. There are lots of other things for families to do, including organized activities for the kids. The adults can enjoy an 18-hole golf course with a pro shop. Numerous eateries serve everything from pizza to teppanyaki, while rooms include balconies, some of which have views of the hotel’s laser light show.
Enjoy residential-style accommodation at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando with your choice of one- to three-bedroom suites, which include separate living and dining areas, flat-screen TVs, full-size washers and dryers, and sleeper sofas. There’s a full-service spa and fitness center, but the water park is the highlight. Surfari Water Park includes water slides, a zero-entry pool, and a lazy river. A kid-friendly luxury resort, Reunion Resort offers ten pools and a five-acre water park with twisting water slides and a lazy river. Kids and kids at heart will love a stay at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. You can float your cares away down the 850-foot-long lazy river, one of the best you’ll find in Orlando, cruising past waterfalls, tunnels, and shooting water cannons. It also hosts a 125-foot corkscrew water slide, water tower, and Orlando’s only resort wave pool. There’s a kids’ club and daily activities so parents can enjoy playing on one of two 18-hole golf courses or hitting the ball on an illuminated nine-hole course. You’ll find multiple eateries with a wide range of offerings, while elegant guest rooms and suites are spacious and bright, featuring stocked minibars, Starbucks instant coffee, and Wolfgang Puck coffee pods.
Just a mile from the Disney theme parks, the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites boasts a wide range of facilities for the kids, including a huge video arcade, 4D movie theater, an indoor Batman Laser Challenge, and one of the best resort water parks Florida has to offer. There are weekly activities for the whole family like movie night, game shows, and family trivia, along with a good range of dining options. The spacious suites come in one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts and include kitchenettes.
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is in Disney World and hosts Explorer Island, which includes a lazy river, water slides, interactive fountains, and splash zones. As one of the best Orlando resorts for vacationing couples, there are plenty of ways to have fun, including a golf club and course, a massive spa, and a fitness center. High-quality teens’ and kids’ clubs make it easy to enjoy alone time. Plus, there are four restaurants, multiple bars, character breakfasts, and extra-spacious rooms. Book one of the Park View Rooms to catch the nightly fireworks show at Disney from your private balcony.
Guests who stay at the Flamingo Waterpark Resort receive admission for up to four per room to its water park. It includes a 30-foot-tower with twisting water slides and a thrilling speed slide, along with a lazy river and areas for tiny tots to play with splash fountains and smaller slides. The hotel also has a playground, game room, and theater for family movie nights. Plus, it’s a pet-friendly Orlando hotel, and budget-friendly too.
Often named the top resort with a water park in the region and host to one of the coolest hotel pools in Orlando, the CoCo Key Resort and Water includes three heated pools, 14 slides, and a long list of fun water features for the kids. A large arcade, a spa, a wide range of on-site restaurants, and a poolside tiki bar. Rooms are spacious and colorful, accommodating up to four, and include mini-fridges, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. Some have pool views too.
Liki Tiki Village is a vacation condo resort, home to a 1.5-acre water park called the Liki Tiki Lagoon. Its theme is in line with the property’s Polynesian name, with a waterfall, erupting water volcano, tiki heads that spout water, five water slides, and an area for toddlers to splash around in. There are also two heated pools, a playground, a tropical-themed nine-hole mini-golf course, a game room, a surrey bike, and paddleboat rentals. Accommodation is in one- to three-bedroom condos with full kitchens and washer/dryers. Shipwreck Sally’s Bar and Grill is on-site when you don’t feel like making your own meals.
FantasyWorld Resort Lake Buena Vista South is just 10 minutes from Disney World (free shuttle to the parks included!) and hosts two large pools, two tall twisting water slides, a lazy river, and a kids’ splash pad. There’s even a FlowRider indoor surfing experience. Adding to the fun, games such as football tossing challenges and hula hoop contests are hosted regularly at the poolside. A tropical-style resort, the highlight at Marriott’s Harbour Lake is Shipwreck Landing, a themed pool area with a pirate ship, water slides, and water cannons. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, one of the best of Disney’s resorts, offers many kid-friendly amenities, but the pool area is the place to be. It’s focused around a “Dig Site” water park and includes a Mayan temple-themed pool with water slides, Jacuzzis, and three small pools. There’s also an outdoor playground and an indoor video game arcade, while Siestas Cantina serves poolside drinks and snacks such as burgers and nachos. With many different room types, including multi-bedroom suites, you’ll have plenty of space for everyone.
