The Grove Resort & Water Park, Orlando – Know Before You Go

With everything from popular theme parks like Disney World to water parks, world-class dining, shopping, and countless other attractions, Orlando is a top destination among families and many other types of vacationers. Plus, there are countless vacation rentals, hotels, and resorts to choose from when it comes to accommodation.

For those who are looking for plenty of space and a long list of amenities, The Grove Resort is one you’ll definitely want to check out as it’s like having your own house in a quiet secluded location, just minutes from the Mouse!

After a long day at the park on your feet, the last thing you’ll probably want to deal with is noise. After all, you need your sleep to rest up and take advantage of all those rides and other attractions. By staying at The Grove, you’ll have a quiet setting to return to. It also offers a complimentary shuttle to the Disney World Transportation Center where you can hop on a bus to the parks which means no having to get behind the wheel either. Of course, if you want to drive you can, it’s only about six miles away.

Another big positive of this resort is that you’ll have a place that includes the comforts of home.

The Grove offers accommodation in one to three-bedroom suites that are more like apartments than a hotel suite. All come with full modern kitchens, spacious bathrooms, and laundry facilities.

If you have a large family, or you’re bringing extended family or friends, the three-bedroom option is ideal as it sleeps up to eight with 1,544-square-feet of living space. There’s a king-size bed and a soaking tub in the master bedroom, queen beds in both the other bedrooms and a living area with a sleeper sofa. No fighting over who gets to use the bathroom first either as they include at least two bathrooms.

There’s a ton of things to do at the resort as well which means you might want to break up your days at the park with one or two spent hanging out at The Grove.

While you’ll find multiple gorgeous pools to enjoy, the highlight is Surfari Water Park. It’s not your typical hotel water park, it has a lazy river, a splash pad/activity center, a pool for the little ones, two water slides, and more. If you want to enjoy a surfing session, there’s a FlowRider® Double surf simulator available starting at $30 for 30 minutes.

Entrance is free for all guests of the resort. There are cabanas available for rent that have dining sets, lounge chairs, coolers or refrigerators, and bottled water. Some even have TVs.

Beware, the kids may not want to leave the Family Fun Center. It includes the latest and most immersive arcade games and as it’s not open to the public it’s almost like having your very own private arcade. You can even play a round of glow-in-the-dark mini golf here too.

The Kids’ Activity Center is similar to a kids’ club, with daily scheduled activities and events like Build-a-Buddy Workshop, pool parties, and cookie decorating.

There are multiple dining options, including Valencia, the main restaurant. Here you can start your day with Mickey Mouse waffles or many other breakfast favorites and end it with a refreshing cocktail. Lunches and dinners include tasty entrees like sirloin steak and pan-seared salmon. Specialty brunch and dinner buffets are hosted for special events and holidays too. Of course, there are always menus for the kids.

The other two restaurants offer casual poolside fare and there’s also a market on-site where you can pick up groceries to make your own meals since you’ll have a full kitchen. It’s the perfect way to save on dining costs.

If that’s not enough, you can even treat yourself to a spa day, the perfect way to refresh and recharge before hitting the parks again. The Escape Spa offers a full menu of treatments from massages like the Salt Stones Massage to facials, wraps, manis and pedis. Afterward, take relaxation up a notch by lounging at The Springs Pools or enjoying the private sauna.

Between the parks, the pools, the activities, and the chance to relax, you can definitely count us in for this one!
