Utah is a unique destination for a family reunion. Whether you go north into the forested mountains or south to the beautiful red rock desert, there is an abundance of outdoor activities and downright impressive excursions. When searching for homes that allow gatherings like this, it is important on Airbnb to ensure that events are not prohibited under “house rules”, while Vrbo has a feature where you can select “events allowed”. Regardless, check with these phenomenal hosts to ensure that the rules are followed. Otherwise, these homes are ideal for gathering with your loved ones.
Everyone is going to love the pools that they have access to! A lower portion has a small waterslide for kids, and the upper pool is more of a great relaxing spot. At the house, there is a private hot tub, and a ping pong table if the family just wants to mingle with each other. The dining table is absolutely enormous, being able to fit 16 people. There are quite a few bunk beds within the home as well.
We love that this barn continues with the farmhouse chic design in the interior. From the tile, sinks, all the way down to the floors, it all exudes a pleasantly country vibe. Guests will have a couple of different game tables to choose from, so nights are going to be really exciting. Be sure to grab some pizzas! Throughout the home, there are bunk beds, three bathrooms, and a generously sized kitchen to accommodate meal prep.
A pool table, private hot tub, and wildlife sightings—talk about an exciting family reunion. You can even take everyone on an adventurous horseback ride along the rocky terrain in the vicinity. Simply put, the home is gorgeous, and is accented with a lovely kitchen, and comfortable sleeping space for all. Deer Valley is one of those stunning destinations in Utah, that really outdoes itself. It’s hard to imagine, as the state of Utah itself is just breathtaking all together.
The barn just has the coolest rustic aesthetic, and the interior presents luxuriously, but also authentically. Hammocks hang in various places, and bunk beds, along with regular beds can sleep up to 14 people. Be sure to visit downtown Cedar City, where they have great little places to get breakfast and coffee, along with an adorable outdoor French eatery.
We have another rental listed within the same community, with access to awesome pools and amenities. This particular home is a touch more on the refined and elegant side but still can sleep quite a few people. Being near St. George, there are a wealth of restaurants within your reach, and of course the beloved Zion National Park. Bryce Canyon is well worth a visit as well since the park loop is typically easy to take on with a minivan full of kids.
Built in the 1980s, this home was dreamt up by a true Utah cowboy! The kids will no doubt be excited about staying in a home like this, as half of it is wedged inside of a cave—or maybe the cave is just the house! Regardless, the living room sits within a cavernous environment, while part of the house may feel like your traditional southwestern home. Situated near the Freemont River, some seriously great fishing isn’t far away.
Cedar City is an adorable town just above St. George. Nearby, is Brian Head Ski Resort, which is definitely worth a visit, as it has great beginner skiing, and a super speed snow tubing hill. But the family will likely want to spend plenty of time at this large cabin, that has a traditional log construction, and plenty of beds. Take in the views from the upper-level loft that peers straight through the windows, or head out to the deck and breathe in that fresh air.
Situated just above Provo, is this massive home, perfect for fulfilling childhood dreams. The indoor pool is enough to drop your jaw because it even has a waterslide! But the home takes it up a notch, with an indoor basketball court, and a sauna fit for any luxurious spa. Adults and kids both will truly enjoy a family reunion at this impressive abode.
The pool and hot tub are what really sell this home in southern Utah. A waterslide extends into the lovely perfectly sized pool, and parents can just chill out in the jacuzzi. Throw some burgers on the grill, and be sure to retreat under the cabana to avoid sunburn, and just enjoy those hot Utah summer days outside! This is a true oasis.
Brian Head is a family-friendly ski resort closer to the southern side of Utah. The beginner-friendly slopes are still fun for experts, so the entire family will have something to do. If you tire of skiing or snow tubing, you can retreat back to this budget-friendly cabin, that is both cozy and welcoming. Up to 10 guests will have a comfortable place to sleep, and there is a super cool bunk/loft bed, that has a skylight right above for the best night star viewing.
While this home is more suitable for smaller gatherings, it can still accommodate up to eight people – so that could be two families! The cozy presentation is suitable for any time of year, but especially when the snow is falling. Amenities in the area include a spacious pool, well equipped workout room, and a ping pong table. Right outside the door, on a private patio is your own hot tub.
Sundance is a beautiful year-round destination. If you don’t want to ski, the restaurants within the resort are spectacular – try the fries at the Foundry Grill! They also have a pretty spectacular selection of lattes. The home houses a lovely outdoor seating space that overlooks the river, so that is probably where everyone is going to want to spend their time. Inside, eight beds accommodate guests.
