Centennial Olympic Park, Life College, Lake Lanier, Stone Mountain, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens—there’s an abundance of exciting places to experience seasonal lights in Atlanta. But did you know residents in and around the city are giving big-time displays a serious run for their money? That’s right, Atlantans are decking the halls with much more than holly and are lighting up neighborhoods so bright they might be seen from space. Most of these spectacular displays are free, but some ask for donations to charity. The city of Duluth is right off the perimeter of Northeast Atlanta, and Duluth’s Christmas House is no doubt a core piece of the city’s Yuletide celebrations. At 2929 Mockingbird Circle, you’ll find a yard filled with so many illuminated figures and bulbs one can barely see the grass—it’s mesmerizing. The roof is blanketed in lights, strings hang in the trees, and it seems no surface is unadorned. Furthering the Atlanta neighborhood’s bright-spirited nature is the abundance of decorations at Duluth Town Green.
