The name of Red Beach, set in a remote cove of Santorini, comes from its unique dark red sand. Nudism isn’t mandatory on Red Beach, but respectful behavior of others’ choices, regardless of their attire, is expected. And, while you’re free to lie back and tan sans clothes, skinny-dipping isn’t allowed due to strong currents caused by the nearby cliffs. The only ways to access Red Beach are by hiking along a rocky trail from the nearby village of Akrotiri or by taking a short boat ride from the nearby town of Perissa.
Anse de Grande Saline, St. Barts
Anse de Grande Saline in St. Barts is split into different sections, with one a ‘standard’ clothed beach and the other half for nudists. Offering, quite literally, the best of both worlds, this stunning spot is located in the southeast corner of the island and is known for being the unofficial nude beach there.
