It feels as if you’re swimming when walking down the flights of blue painted steps surrounded by blue ceilings and blue walls. Visit the vendors selling their wares in open, traditional markets and enjoy breaks to rest, stealing a kiss in the cool, shady areas created by the high walls. From any vantage point in the Chefchaouen medina, you can look up to see the mountain peaks above. It is truly one of the best places to visit in Morocco.
Renowned for offering some of the world’s most dramatic coastal and mountain scenery, the Isle of Skye is linked by a bridge to the west coast of Scotland. In this remote, fantasy-like landscape you’ll find plenty of opportunities for seclusion. If you’ve never been it’s a great way for you and your significant other to share some firsts, and the first time you see a lion outside of a zoo is going to be something you’ll remember for a lifetime. Head to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera in the world, where you’re likely to spot all of the Big Five: lion, elephant, rhino, cheetah and buffalo.
One of the world’s most breathtaking countries, there’s no shortage of romantic spots in Iceland. Enjoy soaking in hot springs together and visiting waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss on the south coast. The powerful fall plummets nearly 200 feet into a pool below and you can even walk behind it for a unique perspective that few others get to experience. The remote Mahaulepu Beaches are made up of three separate stretches that make it easy to find a spot your own. Don’t miss taking a helicopter flight over it all, including the breathtaking Na Pali coast.
Visit Big Sur on the central California coast and the drive to reach it alone will be worth the trip with the soaring Santa Lucia Mountains on one side while rocky cliffs and the crashing waves of the Pacific are on the other.
