The North Georgia Mountains have this gritty yet refined appeal. In one instance you will find an old little shack with smoke from a wood-burning fire piping out the top, and maybe a boiled peanut stand to the side. Then, there will be these polished jaw-dropping cabins with jacuzzis situated on the porch. The feel of these mountains is so humble and honest, and you can likely find a place to get some good fried chicken or a farm to pick your own fresh produce. The old country has certainly been preserved, yet modernization in moderation has taken place. The North Georgia Mountains are bucket list-worthy, and these Vrbo rentals would make the perfect place to stay.

Blue Ridge and Ellijay, two of North Georgia’s most adorable mountain towns, are close enough to visit when staying at this tree-surrounded cabin. Not only is it pet-friendly, but a dog run is situated within the fenced-in yard. Enjoy crisp fall mornings staring out at yellow, red, and orange leaves while soaking in the toasty warm hot tub. Nights can either be spent by the outdoor wood-burning chimenea, or by the indoor stone fireplace.
Looking for a honeymoon destination? Well, come on over to this ideal cabin in Mineral Bluff, Georgia. Located near the Toccoa River, couples can trout fish together amongst beautiful scenery. There will be plenty of opportunities for outdoor dining, such as the tree encapsulated picnic table.
We figured amongst the rustic and charming dwellings, we should include something totally luxurious! Located within walking distance of a gorgeous downtown Helen, a horse-drawn carriage ride or dinner at an authentic German eatery isn’t far away. You will be situated right on the river, so bring those fishing poles and get ready to catch some trout. Everything here is so stunningly manicured, right down to the picture-perfect fire pit. Inside, a wall of massive windows brings in all of the Georgia sunshine. To put it simply, the interior is lavishly breathtaking.
Located within a resort, folks staying here will have access to a wealth of amenities, including a game room/arcade, pool, and so on. However, the cottage itself, you may not ever want to leave. Just beyond, almost right within the yard, are stairs that lead down to the river’s banks.
Sautee Nacoochee sits above Cleveland, Georgia, you know, where you can visit Babyland General Hospital where Cabbage Patch Kids are born. It’s weirdly awesome – you should look it up. Perched on a gently sloping hillside, the porch is elevated and has wonderful views out into the trees. Inside is rustic yet sleek, with a mid-century round fireplace that serves as an interesting focal point to the entire home.
We love the incredibly new and updated feel of this cabin in Blue Ridge. The inside has rich wood accents, but plenty of light aesthetics. But the most alluring part about this rental is the outdoor living room – you read that right! The covered patio area is lit with café lighting while featuring a glowing stone fireplace, hot tub, and a big screen for watching the game or movies. Now that is quite the amenity.
Moose Creek Lodge appears to be something of a fairytale cabin, with hand-crafted railing, antique barn wood cabinets, and subtle yet multiple color exterior features. Upon entering, things feel a little bit more like your traditional North Georgia cabin. A stacked stone fireplace stretches upward to an exposed beam ceiling. The space is set up more like a studio, with the beds tucked to the side, a jacuzzi in the corner, and all of the typical home features like the kitchen and living room. On the deck, there is a hot tub!

Veering a little bit from the typical rustic abode you will find in the North Georgia Mountains, which we still can’t get enough of, the “Bees Knees” is a refreshing take, with bright white walls and touches of chic decoration. The hosts have done a lovely job of turning the outdoor space into a secondary haven, with ambient lighting in various places, and the coziest little nook at the very bottom of the home. You’ll have to see for yourself.
We bring you a classic log cabin, that happens to be enormous as well, so the entire family can come and enjoy a mountain getaway together. There isn’t much better than that. Sleeping up to 10 people, the spacious rustic structure has all of the cozy touches, from the well-equipped kitchen to the bedrooms. Outside on the deck, which faces out toward the scenery, is an ideal place for brunch or dinner.

OK, maybe grown-ups will enjoy everything within this house, too.
If you’ve been to Helen before, you’ve probably noticed those Bavarian-style balconies that extend over the river, right before the water trails under the bridge. Well, you can rent an updated condo within that very building, and the interior is surprisingly modern, with a touch of old-school aesthetics. The porch of course still maintains its original look and is such an incredible place to experience Helen from, after returning from the adorable downtown with a funnel cake, or bag of goodies from the fudge shop. Sit outside and enjoy those treats while watching others float down the gently flowing rapids in colorful tubes. Maybe you’ll be inspired to give it a try as well.
Experience true elegance while staying in beautiful Blairsville, Georgia. With a craftsman-like exterior, the home presents quite contemporarily, and the furniture and decor within fall in suit. Yet the outdoor porch, which is also screened in, is the ideal place to enjoy somewhat cool summer nights, and winter mornings – just bring a blanket to snuggle up with, and a cup of coffee.
