Stanley, Idaho is not far from the more well-known Sun Valley – and it is an outdoor haven all of its own! The Salmon River runs through the heart of the town, and the dramatic Sawtooth Mountains envelop the green pastures. For a moment, one might think they are in Switzerland. With surroundings like this top destination in Idaho comes an abundance of recreation, from fishing, hiking to skiing. But most definitely take plenty of time to soak in the natural attributes, which are excellently experienced from these scenic Airbnbs.
Picture windows open up most of the rooms within this log cabin to the outdoor beauty that surrounding Stanley has on display. Eight people can enjoy a vacation at this warm abode, with a master bedroom including a bathroom with jetted tub, and a snug bunking space. The mountains sit in the background, offering ideal scenery whether the green summer grass or powder-coated fields are contrasting against them.
Once a long time ago this cabin was abandoned at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountains. A lot of love and craftsmanship has gone into this little home, and it is currently a rustic and cozy space to spend time in this gorgeous part of Idaho. Cedar shakes coat exterior, and the interiors have been adorned with natural materials.
The Redfish Riverside Inn sits right along the Salmon River. So you could sit on your private deck while grilling dinner and watch the peaceful water flow steadily by (this river is also ideal for rafting and fishing). The setting is truly ideal, and the interior is a cross between a hotel room and a log cabin.
The A-frame cabin is gorgeous and nestled among some of the most beautiful trees. Guests can enjoy a glamping-like experience while being a little more protected from the outdoors. There is a shared bathroom on the campground, but you’ll have your own personal fire pit. Bring sleeping bags and a camping stove for cooking!
Located at a contemporary lodge in Stanley, this room is all a solo traveler or couple would need when coming to the area for adventure. The decor is both modern and rustic. Dogs are welcome to come along as well. There’s a shared kitchen, and plenty of common spaces to spread out among.
We love that this abode is a little more tucked away in the forests of Stanley. Everything becomes particularly majestic after the first snowfall when the trees are lightly dusted with a fluffy coat of powder. Inside remains relatively modernized, but still has the touches of rugged. So much recreation is at the guest’s fingertips.
With a spacious layout, this grand lodge-style home is great for your next family reunion or just a luxurious vacation. Up to 10 people can retreat here. Watch for wildlife from the windows or well-equipped deck. You’ll also find a hot tub from where you can take in all of the scenery. Overall, this is an impressive Airbnb!
