One of the best hotels in Atlanta with an indoor pool, Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is a luxury staycation destination full of Southern charm. It also has a 15,000-square-foot spa with 13 treatment rooms. It also has a yoga studio, fitness center, sauna, steam room, meeting rooms, and an outdoor private garden. You’ll love being pampered on your getaway close to home here and also having easy access to all-day dining options and 24-hour room service.
It’s also fun to be in a classic Airstream camper for your staycation, such as this one hosted on Airbnb. It accommodates three guests and has two beds and one bath. This is a 1957 Airstream that has a vintage vibe and is minutes from Downtown Atlanta in the Grant Park Area. Here you’ll find a weekly farmers’ market, coffee shops, the zoo, and breweries. This historic East Lake property is close to local restaurants and shops and is an ideal place for families and individuals who want extra space to relax. It is a highly rated vacation property that offers internet, a TV, a fireplace, a washer and dryer, and parking. Other features are a lawn/garden, balcony, and deck/patio.
The JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead offers a luxury staycation experience with upscale amenities and a prime location in the Buckhead neighborhood. It is attached to the Lenox Square Mall and close to the Zoo, High Museum, and nightlife options. The hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, indoor heated pool, sauna, and event spaces for meetings. It’s a good staycation spot because of the tranquil spa that offers massages, waxing, nail services, facials, and body treatments. The large pool spans 40,000 square feet and has a poolside bar, comfortable chairs, and umbrellas for shade. Butler service is available here and has been a hotel tradition for over 100 years.
One of the coolest Airbnbs in Georgia, this tiny house is a perfect home base when you plan a staycation in Atlanta. This highly rated tiny house accommodates four people and has two bedrooms and one bath. It’s a charming space with a fenced-in back yard and lots of amenities. It is close to Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, and the Beltline. It’s also easy to get around with public transportation from here. The tiny house has a first-floor bedroom and an upstairs loft. Guests can play ping pong, access high-speed internet, use the washer and dryer, and have a fire in the solo stove fire pit. There is parking for two cars here and also a private entrance to the space. The host’s mom lives in the main house on the property, and the host lives a minute away if you need anything.
If you’re looking for a hotel-style staycation, the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is another great choice. This is a five-star luxury hotel in Midtown that has a spa, a bar with delicious small plates and cocktails, and original pieces of art on the walls that were made by local artists. Enjoy a meal on the fifth-floor terrace rooftop garden and being close to the beautiful Piedmont Park.
Staycations are fun at this 4,500-square-foot house that sleeps 10 people and has a pool and new Jacuzzi. It has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two half baths. It’s available to rent on VRBO and very private. There’s a par-three golf course across the street and the Bobby Jones golf course 2.5 miles away. You’ll enjoy the six-person hot tub, outdoor porch with a fireplace, and heated-optional pool here. Other amenities are a washer and dryer, internet, TV, parking, fitness equipment, and garage. It’s a top pick for staycations because the suites give you a little extra room to spread out, and there are plenty of amenities to keep you comfortable and entertained right onsite. There’s a martini bar, a grill that serves American food, and rooms with work areas and mini-fridges for your convenience. It’s about 10 miles from Downtown Atlanta and across from the Cobb Galleria Centre.
This is another Airbnb property worth considering for your staycation in Atlanta. It’s a bungalow in Cabbagetown that’s full of character and accommodates three guests with one bedroom and one bath. You’ll have your own yard here, a back deck, and plenty of privacy. It was built in the 1890s and has many original features. The property is centrally located and near the neighborhoods of Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Old Fourth Ward, and Grant Park. From here it’s easy to walk to the Beltline, restaurants, and coffee shops. Guests who stay here enjoy the natural light and stylish Anthropologie furniture.
You’ll also enjoy the spacious suites at Twelve Downtown for your staycation, as well as the full in-room kitchens, soft beds, sleek furniture, and free Wi-Fi. This is a Marriott-brand hotel that has an outdoor pool deck, 24-hour fitness center, a signature restaurant called Catch 12, and a convenient location in the city’s downtown core.
The Auburn is a VRBO apartment that is 1,800 square feet in size and sleeps up to four people. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom and is freshly renovated. It’s one unit in a historic Victorian duplex building and has 12-foot ceilings with huge windows. The kitchen is bright and airy, and there’s an outdoor deck for dining outdoors. It’s fun to be in the Old Fourth Ward for your staycation because of the proximity to historic attractions, the Beltline, murals, markets, and cool conversion spaces. There is plenty of street parking in front of the unit.
