Margaritaville Resort at Lanier Islands is located on the shores of Lake Lanier in Buford, Georgia. The island-themed recreation area features a water park, beaches, Buffet approved fare and an appropriately laid-back vibe. Could anything make this better? Yes—booze cruises, Y’all!

Two sunset cruises depart every weekend, for the ultimate cap off of your day in paradise.

Landshark, the margarita booze cruise vessel, departs at 5 O’Clock (somewhere) every Saturday. Eight specialty margaritas, a full nacho bar, peel-and-eat shrimp and BBQ sliders are a few of the classic delicacies served onboard. Indulge, dance, or sit back and take in the sunset for three full hours. Margarita cruises will set you back $80.

Sunday’s wine cruise also sets sail from 5pm-8pm, and are a nice wind down after a day of water activities. Wines are paired with delicious appetizers while you soak in the island views of this inland Georgia escape. Solo tickets are $70, and couples get a nice break at $120 for two.

Both boats are redesigned luxury yachts, with plenty of Jimmy Buffet flare. Enclosed cabins are equipped with comfy seating, restrooms and air conditioning to beat the southern heat. But we’d prefer to lounge on the roof, letting the wind whip through our hair, while we sip on iconic Maragaritaville beverages.

Availability is limited, so be sure to book early! You have to be 21 to board because it is a booze cruise and all. Boats depart from Harbor Landing
