Located along the beachfront, Oceana Santa Monica offers spectacular views with rooms and suites far larger than any other property in Santa Monica. Initially constructed as a residential property, they’re all done in beach house-style and provide a haven of tranquility, with spacious living areas and amenities like flat-screen TVs, iPads, and working stations. About a third boast ocean views, and some include kitchenettes. There’s a picturesque courtyard with a pool and poolside service and multiple dining and drinking options, including the Sunset Terrace rooftop lounge. Located in West Hollywood, Chateau Marmont is the most notorious celebrity hideaway in the neighborhood, boasting a fantastic location just above Sunset Boulevard. It’s an L.A. icon that attracts celebrity voyeurs willing to pay for the privilege. It begins with a fruit tray and a handwritten note on embossed Chateau Marmont letterhead welcoming you to your room, which features many tech amenities and ultra-comfy queen beds. The bungalows are the nicest options and the choice of VIPs. The main reason to come is the people watching. The design-focused Kimpton Hotel Palomar Beverly Hills has a cool, quirky style with plenty of high-end perks to take advantage of and very extended stay-friendly. It’s located in West L.A. along a quiet strip of Wilshire Boulevard. Pet-friendly, there is no fee required to bring your four-legged friend, and beds, bowls, and treats are provided for free. There’s a chic outdoor pool with loungers and a fire pit, a game room, a fitness center, and an on-site restaurant called the Double Take that serves California comfort cuisine, coffee, and cocktails. Choose from three room types, including the King Spa Suite, which has an oversized bathroom with a soaking tub.
Epitomizing luxury, Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is renowned for its exceptional service and elegantly-styled rooms. It also offers an ideal location, near Rodeo Drive, one of the best shopping destinations in the U.S., and within easy reach of Santa Monica Boulevard. There’s plenty to enjoy, including a fabulous day spa and a resort pool with cabanas. Standard rooms include balconies with mountain or city views and marble bathrooms. Located downtown near the Dodgers Stadium, the 5-star InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is all about luxury, home to the Western Hemisphere’s tallest open-air bar and a sky-high steakhouse with more than a thousand bottles of hand-selected wines with something to complement every dish. Dekkadance is also on-site and the place to go for farm-to-table cuisine. Located in downtown Los Angeles, the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles is part of the L.A. Live entertainment and dining precinct, located between the Grammy Museum, Microsoft Theatre, and the Staples Center. It boasts a rooftop pool with a poolside bar and cabanas and one of the best views in California, a spa with a beauty salon and a menu of massage services and other wellness treatments, plus a 24-hour fitness room with machines that include built-in T.V.s. The rooms and suites come with feather beds, flat-screen T.V.s, and bathrooms with large tubs, robes, and televisions built right into the mirrors.
Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills offers an ideal blend of modern and Old Hollywood glamour, with rooms featuring classic French elegance. Often named the best luxury hotel in L.A., it sits at the intersection of Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards, six minutes by car from Beverly Hills and ten from Sunset Strip.
