The first Montage property and the first large-scale luxury resort in Northern California’s Sonoma Wine Country, Montage Healdsburg opened its doors in late January 2021. The Four Seasons New Orleans transformed a 33-story landmark along the Mississippi waterfront, bringing glamour to the city in a convenient location just a 15-minute walk to the French Quarter. Open now, there are over 340 rooms and suites, all with Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and Nespresso machines. Many boast views of the river and Garden District across to the Central Business District and the French Quarter. This new hotel was the first for the Rosewood brand in South America, aiming to “set a new standard for luxury hospitality in São Paulo.” While it only recently opened its doors, the hotel that’s spread across a complex of elegant historic buildings in Cidade Matarazzo has been receiving rave reviews. There are 160 rooms and suites, plus 124 Rosewood Residences, all with upscale amenities, stylish furnishings, and crafted details. Some even come with personalized butler service. There are a half-dozen dining venues, two pools, a music studio, cinema, and a permanent collection of art with over 450 works by Brazilian artists.

Opening in early 2022, if you’re planning a trip to Denver, you’ll want to book a stay at this new luxury hotel in the popular Cherry Creek neighborhood, known for its many upscale shops, fine dining restaurants, and art galleries. The highly acclaimed Toro Latin Kitchen & Lounge by Chef Richard Sandoval will be right on-site. The 193 spacious guest rooms and six suites feature amenities like luxe marble bathrooms and large closets. The design perfectly blends into the topography it was inspired by and includes 60 suites and pool villas. Standard amenities include Smart TVs, minibars, and Wi-Fi, while upgraded options may include private pools, terraces, and separate living rooms. Most come with desert or mountain views. For the most luxurious option, book the three-bedroom villa which has a private hot tub and kitchen. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a poolside bar, a yoga studio, nail salon, an Israeli-Mediterranean restaurant, and a tented Bedouin-style dining spot, among the multiple dining options. Activities like dome trekking and camping under the stars can be enjoyed too.

The 187 rooms and 17 luxury suites will range from 358- to 945-square-feet in size with floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors that bring the outdoors in. Making its debut in the spring of 2021, the Ritz-Carlton Maldives is the third five-star property from the Marriott group in the country. Located on Fari Islands it hosts 100 private beachfront and overwater villas, ranging from one- to three bedrooms. All have sprawling sun decks and infinity pools overlooking the translucent blue water. There are many facilities, including a dive center, kids’ club, a luxurious spa, fitness center, and even a photography studio. There are also two bars and six restaurants, one headed by a Michelin–starred chef. Plus, there’s a personal butler dedicated to every villa.

This rare Japanese-owned luxury hotel just opened opposite Nijo Castle, one of the most popular attractions in Kyoto. Guests are greeted by Kimono-clad staff in front of a centuries-old wooden gate. Similar to a ryokan inn, you’ll receive a seasonal welcome tea, meant to help you transition from the busyness of the outside world. There’s a courtyard with ponds, stepping stones, and flowering trees to add to the experience, while the two restaurants include signature Toki, with its French-influenced Japanese fare, and Forni, serving wood-oven fired pizzas. It’s the only upscale property in the city center with its own natural source of hot spring water that can be enjoyed in its Thermal Spring Spa, with dramatic boulders spread among the onsen pools.

Cielo, the bar restaurant, has an outdoor patio where you can enjoy tasty meals and views of the surrounding McDowell Mountains.
