The Asbury is unique because it’s more than just a hotel – it’s also a social hub with vibrant hangout spots and a mix of historic and rock-and-roll vibes. This hotel offers live music in the lobby, a great pool area, an outdoor movie theater, a lobby bar, and a rooftop lounge. Various room and suite options are available, as well as movies you can watch on a big screen on the 4,300-square-foot rooftop located on the 6th floor of the hotel. This space is also available to rent for private events. Meanwhile, it’s fun to hang out at Salvation, a premier local nightlife destination located right at the hotel, while you sip creative cocktails and listen to DJs.
The Inn at Ocean Grove is a hotel near Asbury Park, less than a 10-minute walk from town. It’s also just a block from the Ocean Grove beach and boardwalk for a convenient vacation experience. The hotel is right around some of the best beaches in New Jersey and offers rentals for bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. The rooms here have private baths, refrigerators, air Occonditioning, and Wi-Fi. Some of them even have full kitchens. It’s nice to sit outside and relax on the two porches or in the TV/game room when you need a break from all of the activities and sightseeing.
At The Lillagaard, you’ll be in a historic building that dates back to 1871 and be just steps from the boardwalk and beach, one of the top things to do when on the Jersey Shore. There are 20 guest rooms, plus three large porches to relax on. The B&B serves full breakfasts in its spacious restaurant and even has an ice cream shop to treat yourself on a hot day. The Lillagaard, which spans four floors, only welcomes children aged 12 and older.
It’s fun to stay at the Wave Resort in one of the best places to visit in New Jersey if you’re looking for a boutique hotel experience. The Wave Resort offers modern guestrooms with private terraces and lovely views. For dining, there is a cantina that serves Mexican food, a grill for seasonal fare, and a coffee shop that overlooks the boardwalk. There is a public beach right by the resort that you can enjoy for no additional cost. You can also book a massage, body scrub, or other rejuvenating treatment at the Wave Spa.
Located in historic Ocean Grove and near Asbury Park, The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful B&B with 21 guest suites, private baths, and romantic fireplaces. There are also some lovely, shared spaces here, including a breakfast room, living room, and porch. The hosts serve gourmet breakfasts each morning and also offer bikes and beach chairs that you can use. Only children aged 12 and older are allowed in this B&B. Other things you can do in this area while staying here include fishing off the beach in the morning, getting discount beach passes for just $6 per person, and renting out tennis courts for $10 per hour.
One of the most romantic places to stay in New Jersey, The Ocean Plaza Hotel is a block from the ocean in Ocean Grove and near neighboring Asbury Park. The hotel is open year-round and has 16 guest rooms and three suites with ocean views. It is a century-old hotel renovated in 1994 to add modern conveniences to the existing Victorian charm. All guest accommodations here have Wi-Fi, cable TV, refrigerators, coffeemakers, toiletries, air conditioning, and daily maid service. The hotel also provides beach towels and sells discounted beach passes in the summer.
Another highly recommended Asbury Park option and one of the top spa resorts in New Jersey is the Asbury Ocean Club Hotel, which offers one-bedroom suites with kitchenettes and lofts with open-air terraces. This hotel will feel like your own oasis getaway when you spend time on the pool terrace with a full-service bar and enjoy cocktails with ocean views. The Drawing Room at the hotel offers live music, a bar, and a gathering space, while the hotel also has an in-house spa, fitness center, and yoga studio. The hotel is a 70-minute drive from Manhattan and a wonderful weekend spot along the Jersey Shore. There are also full-time residences if you fall in love with the place and want to stay a little longer.
The Breakers on the Ocean Hotel has been a family-owned and operated hotel for 40 years and is a wonderful year-round getaway destination. It is an oceanfront resort in Spring Lake that is near Asbury Park. Casual dining along the oceanfront is available for guests and there are spaces for weddings and corporate events. The inn was originally built in the late 1800s and has a serene ocean atmosphere. You’ll be just steps away from the ocean and can enjoy the beach, private pool, tennis, golf, and fishing nearby. Rooms are available with single king or queen beds or two queen beds.
The history of The Majestic Hotel dates back to 1870, and this is a highly rated Jersey Shore hotel, restaurant, and wedding venue. The hotel has 16 rooms, including a three-room penthouse. There is a 75-seat dining room and a nice lobby for cocktail hour. Some of the many amenities included in the guest rooms are kitchenettes with refrigerators, cable TV, Wi-Fi, beach towels, and coffee and tea supplies. The hotel serves a complimentary continental breakfast in the high season and room service in the low season.
With a maximum capacity of just 22 guests, the Saltwater Inn offers a personalized hotel experience and immaculately clean rooms. This inn is in Belmar’s north end, just two blocks from the beach. Eight suites for couples here include free Wi-Fi, A/C, free parking, and comfortable beds. Children of all ages are welcome to stay with you at this inn. There is no food served at the inn, and it also does not provide beach badges, towels, chairs, or umbrellas.
For your trip to Asbury Park, consider staying at The Empress for poolside tiki huts, a dance club, and well-appointed rooms. The hotel has 101 rooms and is adjacent to historic Ocean Grove. This is a place where you can relax and party in style. There’s a lively bar onsite and many restaurant options within a five-minute walk from the hotel. This is a 13-room B&B that is two blocks from the beach in Ocean Grove and near Asbury Park. The hosts serve complimentary breakfast each morning, which you can enjoy in the dining room or on the front porch or balcony. The location of this B&B is two blocks from the Great Auditorium, four blocks from the Main Avenue shopping and dining, and a short walk from the Asbury Park venues. This is another local B&B that only allows children aged 12 and older.
You’ll enjoy staying at the boutique Chateau Inn & Suites in the seaside village of Spring Lake when you are in the Asbury Park, New Jersey area.
