The attraction-filled capital city has numerous extended stay hotels and also luxury hotels that offer extended stay options, have kitchenettes to make meals easier, and welcome guests for weeks or months at a time. A popular D.C. hotel, St. Gregory Hotel is an extended stay hotel that is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and landmarks in Dupont Circle. You’ll love the comfy guestrooms and modern amenities here, as well as the spacious bathrooms, 24-hour fitness center, on site restaurant, and business center. This is an ideal extended stay option for business travelers, temporary relocation, new D.C. residents, government employees, medical visits, law firm staff, and temporary duty military personnel. It offers a boutique vibe, trendy location, laid-back comfort, and sophisticated atmosphere. Other hotel perks of this extended stay hotel include pet-friendly rooms, allergy-free rooms, an in-room spa and beauty menu, and in-room dining.
You can also stay at Kimpton Glover Park, which is a boutique hotel near Georgetown. This hotel offers guest rooms with kitchenettes to make mealtimes easy and convenient. Extended stay guests can also take advantage of grocery service, a clothes rack, and complete laundry service for additional fees.
This Residence Inn is an extended stay, Marriott-brand hotel that’s located in a lovely historic building. The National Mall and Smithsonian museums are just a short walk away, as well as the White House and Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Extended stay perks here include fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi, a daily free breakfast buffet, and a 24-hour fitness center. The in-room dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, table and chairs, dishes, and pots and pans really come in handy for extended stay guests. There are meeting rooms and audio/visual equipment available on-site for business travelers. Cats and dogs are welcome here, up to 50 pounds max, with manager approval and a $200 fee.
Homewood Suites is a Hilton-brand extended stay hotel with a location about 15 minutes from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center by foot. Located on New York Avenue, the suites here have full kitchens, while the hotel offers free hot breakfast daily to make your long stay even more affordable. Guest stays also include free Wi-Fi, complimentary evening socials, fitness center access, a business center, meeting rooms, and pet-friendly guest rooms. Pets up to 75 pounds are allowed here for a $250 pet fee per stay.
You can also stay at Hyatt House Washington D.C. The Wharf for your extended trip to D.C. and enjoy spacious rooms and suites with views of the Potomac. There are spacious rooms here and some have full kitchens and separate seating areas for your longer-term comfort. This hotel is three blocks south of the National Mall and an ideal place to be for sightseeing and exploring the city. It offers free breakfast, a pool and fitness center, an on-site restaurant, and pet-friendly rooms. For business travelers in town for a while, there are business services, meeting facilities, and free internet access available.
For more of a bed and breakfast vibe during your time in D.C., consider booking a room at the Adam’s Inn, which is on a residential street in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. This very walkable neighborhood has lots of shops and dining options and is close to public transportation too. At the Eldon, you can stay in a luxury apartment for the price of a hotel room and be just half a block from the convention center. The Eldon has one, two, and three-bedroom units and a penthouse that range from 650 to more than 1,500 square feet in size. You’ll be in close walking distance to many D.C. attractions and also enjoy the kitchen with full-size appliances, shower massage jets, and four spacious layouts to choose from. Breakfast is offered daily, while Wi-Fi is free and parking is available for an extra fee.
Ampeer Residences is an extended stay hotel in Dupont Circle that offers nightly and monthly rentals. The hotel is in a historic mansion and a two-minute walk to the Dupont Circle red line metro stop. Here you’ll get the ease of a short-term lease with all the comforts of a condo and a private social club too.
