Suntrust Park is nestled northwest of Atlanta, near Marietta. The location is optimal, with less traffic than midtown, and access to cool places like iconic performance centers, Cumberland Mall and the indoor skydiving center, iFly. However, if you want to make the trek to downtown, it’s extremely close, and there are plenty of restaurants and things to do.
The new Home of the Braves is connected to an innovative multi-use community with restaurants, play areas, shops and lodging, known as The Battery. Needless to say, there’s a lot to do when booking a stay in the area, besides going to the game. So if you’re looking for a hotel in a prime location with great amenities and service, these are the best.

Just a 15-minute walk to Suntrust Park, guests can also take advantage of a shuttle that runs guests to the field just before the game. Only being about a quarter mile away, the location is ideal and is one of the best bangs for your buck.
Suites with spacious, chic bathrooms and plenty of luxurious lounging area create a retreat upon returning to your hotel for the night. Shuttles are available to cart passengers to nearby points of interest, that are within three miles, while the route to SunTrust is still easily walkable. Hotels.com has given the accommodations a “fabulous” rating, and guests regularly note the affordability and excellent bar food.
Rooms at Country Inn are simple, with updated decor, but the indoor saltwater pool complete with jacuzzi spa adds to the allure. A half mile jaunt will take you to The Battery. Breakfast is free and various snacks such as cookies are provided through the day—just like a stay at grandmas, but a bit more modern. Beyond the typically complimentary breakfast most hotels offer these days, guests are treated with made to order, signature omelettes! Adding to the food perks, there’s an evening reception with small appetizers and free drinks as a courtesy to customers. Some guests note there is a $12 parking fee, but if just driving in for the game, you’ll likely be paying a higher fee–parking can be anywhere up to $50 for Atlanta sporting events. So all in all, it’s a pretty good deal.
Huge bonus— parking is free, and you can see The Battery entrance from some rooms. That alone almost makes it worth bunking up at this cozy hotel instead of making the drive home. The Coca-Cola Roxy Center is a mere two-minute walk away, while SunTrust is about 10 minutes away. Breakfast is on the house, and there is an onsite deli for convenience.
Sleek aesthetic gives this place a super swanky feel, and the all-suites feature full kitchens—a surprising find in such suave digs. When staying at Hyatt House, parking is free, as well as transportation to the ballpark, so those who stay here save a good chunk of change. Generous outdoor patio areas and a welcoming lobby add even more space to spread out. The breakfast is particularly awesome thanks to an extensive omelet bar with delicious toppings and tasty sides.
This Hilton has a classic look with elegant accents, and a quite pretty, streamline pool area. Opting for the breakfast buffet will set you back a mere $11, but the plentiful selection of cooked to order omelets, French toast, pancakes and such make it worth it, and the restaurant’s burgers are more than above average. Free cookies and coffee are offered in the lobby toward the end of the day, and of course, there’s a complimentary shuttle to SunTrust Park.
If there were a perfect hotel for Atlanta baseball fans, this would be it. Conveniently tucked right in the little restaurant village connected directly to the stadium, guests can hop from craft bars to artisan restaurants, then on to the game within just a few steps. When you thought it couldn’t get any better, many rooms and the pool area have a bird’s eye view of the field, so you can watch the game while ordering room service. It’s as if the hotel is a part of the stands and the park itself, so if you really want the full experience, this is the place to stay–it just doesn’t get any better.
