An all-inclusive resort can be a great choice for couples who want to enjoy a budget-friendly vacation – of course, that all depends on the resort. Some are not only extremely pricey, but they also don’t include everything. There may be limited dining hours and restaurants, pools only for VIPs and big fees for things like spa services and many other extras. These properties, however, are all resorts that are truly ideal for couples on a budget.

The Royal Solaris is a mid-range-priced all-inclusive resort in Mexico right on the beach that offers a wealth of amenities. including a beautiful massive pool, multiple restaurants, a spa, and more. It’s ideal for couples who want to stay busy with its amusement park kind of feel that includes a wide range of recreational activities and entertainment options, including four major dinner shows each week in the onsite theater, and themed nights like a Latin show and casino night. Rooms include private balconies and mini-fridges stocked with free beer and water.
The Bahamas are a more affordable destination to fly to, located just an hour from Miami. Coupled with a stay at Breezes Resort & Spa which offers a great alternative to the country’s many pricey all-inclusive resorts, it’s easy to put together a more budget-friendly escape here. The resort has three outdoor pools, a swim-up bar with submerged seating, and direct access to the unspoiled white sands of Cable Beach. The Majestic Colonial has long been a popular destination for weddings and honeymoons, so you know it’s going to be ideal for couples. One of three upscale all-inclusive sister properties on a gorgeous stretch Bavaro Beach, it has 658 suites, all with jetted tubs and marble floors, some with ocean views. You can really go all out by upgrading to a swim-up suite. The resort also hosts six restaurants and 11 bars, with nightly music at the plaza bar, live piano music in the lobby bar, and free access to a discotheque.
Located on the powder sugar like sands of Playacar in Playa del Carmen, surrounded by soaring palm trees, fountains and lush greenery, the Riu Palace Riviera Maya is like a tropical fantasy, yet it comes at a budget-friendly price tag. There are multiple dining options, a small spa and fitness center, but the expansive pool and the beach are the highlights. There’s a sandy entry to the sea for easy access, hammocks strung up between the trees and lots of loungers for relaxing and soaking up the view.
The Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino has been closed for renovations but re-opens again in 2019. An affordable adults-only destination, absolutely everything is included here, from unlimited meals, snacks and drinks (including alcoholic beverages) to dance classes, aqua aerobics, minibar service, beach and cocktail parties. It hosts three pools, four restaurants, four bars, a casino and spa, and sits right on a mile-long white-sand beach overlooking Great Bay and the Caribbean.
This adult-only property is located just around the corner from beautiful Ffryes Beach on Antigua’s southwest coast. It offers a more intimate all-inclusive experience in Aruba with stays in pastel-hued cottages that spill down the hillside. Hotel Xcaret is the place to go for couples who want to enjoy a wide range of amenities at a value price. You’ll get one of the biggest bangs for the buck with full access to Xcaret parks, including zip-line rides and jungle treks, as well as multiple pools, a gorgeous lagoon and river, 10 restaurants, eight bars and a lavish spa. It has a beach filled with loungers and you can paddle a river in kayaks too. Rooms feature terraces with hammocks, some with an ocean view, along with Nespresso machines, minibars, jetted tubs and robes.
Iberostar hosts six hotels in the Dominican Republic, but this one is a bargain, offering relatively inexpensive rates that include dining at three restaurants serving international, Brazilian and Mexican fare as well as a buffet-style eatery. Join dance classes, take Spanish lessons, watch nightly stage shows and a non-existent bar bill with top-shelf booze and signature cocktails all included in the rates – the drinking starts early and doesn’t end until 2 a.m. Activities include everything from kayaking to diving and archery, while rooms come with free minibars stocked with beer, soda, and water, as well as large balconies with views of the lake and gardens, or at least a partial view of the ocean.
