Supplying baked cookies and cakes since 2010, they opened an East End Market shop in 2016. Enjoying a cult following for their decadent chocolate chip cookies, the owner of the shop specializes in small-batch baking so that they can keep these bites of sugary goodness high-quality.
With rave word-of-mouth reviews, the shop’s popularity has grown exponentially, particularly due to the perfect balance of chocolate and vanilla in its Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s easy to see why people flock to Gideon’s for their sweet tooth cravings, with gooey chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven and creative concoctions like Pistachio Toffee Dark Chocolate, Triple Chocolate Andes Mint and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut with Homemade Salted Caramel.
Tempt your taste buds with the Triple Chocolate Chip, a chocolate explosion with five kinds of chocolate and blended together and topped with sea salt, while the Cookies and Cream is a flavorful combination of hand cut chunks of cookies and cream and rolled in cookie crumbs. If you time your visit right, you can also sample the seasonal Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Espresso or Frankenstein that is topped with M&M’s and filled with Oreo Double Stuff cookies and dark chocolate.
With some of the softest, melt-in-your-mouth cookies you’ve ever tasted, you shouldn’t be surprised that they have also perfected other dessert recipes. Their cakes are just as delicious, 8 inches tall and triple layered. Their Red Velvet cake is a traditional buttermilk based cake covered in cream cheese frosting, while the Chocolate Everything cake has deep chocolate frosting layered with chocolate cookies and chips.
The sugary goodness doesn’t stop there. The Pumpkin Cheesecake with a gingersnap crust is a seasonal favorite while the Giant Gideon’s Cookie is a massive 8-inch cookie cake that you can share with your friends.
Wash down your treats with one of their dessert iced drinks, as the Peanut Butter Iced Coffee combines almond milk and lightly roasted peanuts while spice lovers might enjoy the Fire and Iced Coffee with mocha cacao and habanero peppers.
