The largest state in the U.S, Alaska also is the least densely populated state in America — but that doesn’t mean it’s short of amazing places to see. Thanks to Alaska’s large footprint, the state is divided into five regions to help travelers discover The Land of the Midnight Sun. From glaciers and mountains to wildlife and forests, there’s so much terrain to explore, it’s no wonder this state also is nicknamed The Last Frontier. In fact, Alaska’s Denali National Park is home to America’s highest peak and there are an abundance of outdoor activities like skiing, mountain biking and kayaking. Alaska is an angler’s paradise, with some of the best freshwater, saltwater, fly- and ice fishing in the world. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of enjoy in Juneau and Anchorage.
