There are lots of Mexican beach destinations that are frequented by travelers looking for a little fun in the sun. But one of the lesser-known beach spots worth visiting is Puerto Peñasco. Also known as Rocky Point, this tourist town is just south of the Arizona border and just a four-hour drive from the city of Phoenix. It’s fun to lounge on the beach, take a cocktail cruise at sunset, and get active with a wide variety of water sports here. Playa Bonita Resort
The Playa Bonita Resort is located on Hermosa Beach and offers a chill vibe near the golf club. There are 124 rooms here, two swimming pools, and a Jacuzzi for guests to enjoy. The resort has 20 three and four-bedroom homes and also four towers of one, two, and three-bedroom condos. The Marina Pinacate
Another great choice for vacation rental condos in town is the Marina Pinacate by FMI Rentals. This is a casual accommodation option that’s located on the top of a breakwater, so you’ll be only about 50 yards from the beach. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and bars from here and enjoy a family vacation. The units for rent have one, two, and three bedrooms and also a full kitchen. Most units have ocean views and some are poolside. On the property, you’ll find barbecue grills, a pool, and a kids’ pool too.

You’ll also be close to the area’s attractions and dining when you stay at the Hospedaje Mulege.
