This studio cabin sleeping up to four guests is just a five-minute drive from Yellowstone’s north entrance in Gardiner, Montana on a family ranch. The Preserve is a one-bedroom cabin sleeping up to four guests in the heart of Island Park, a mini-resort owned by a local family with four cabins that sit at the base of Sawtelle Peak in Idaho. It’s just a 15-minute drive to the west entrance of the park, and within walking distance to local favorites like Connies Restaurant and Bar and a locally owned coffee shop, The Grind. The 600-square-foot cabin doesn’t have a kitchen but it includes a mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning, and a satellite TV with a DVD player. It also has a hot tub, ideal for soaking after a long day of exploring in the park.
The Treasure Cabin is part of a property with six cabins, all of which have their own private entrances, just a two-minute drive from the park’s north entrance. Wildlife is abundant in the area with elk and deer frequently roaming right through the yard, while restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The one-bedroom cabin sleeps up to three and includes free Wi-Fi, a very well equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee, a dining table and a living room with a TV. Families with small children can request a crib and high chair by reserving in advance. There’s also a common deck with grilling facilities shared by all cabins, available May through October.
