Built in the 1930s, this charming Oregon home not only offers lots of historic character, it was the home of Charlie and Bella Swan in the “Twilight” movies series. After the hosts purchased it and decided to turn it into a rental for fans, many sent in items from around the world that appeared in the saga so they could recreate the look of the rooms a decade after it was filmed. Located in a quiet downtown St. Helens neighborhood within walking distance of the historic riverfront, it can accommodate up to eight in five bedrooms – guests can even sleep in Bella’s bedroom. All the usual comforts are included too like a kitchen, Wi-Fi, and TV.
While it doesn’t come cheap, if you can swing it, it’s sure to be worth the price to stay in this 10,000-square-foot mansion in the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu. This is the place that has hosted season after season of Bachelor contestants. Of course, when you rent, Chris Harrison won’t be there to welcome you in, but you’ll have the 200-year-old Mediterranean-style revival house, including its amazing pool and romantic archways all to yourself. There are seven bedrooms, accommodating up to 13, along with two Jacuzzis, a pool table, hand-crafted furniture, and awe-inspiring views.
This 15th-century hunting lodge built by the De Vere family served as Harry Potter’s childhood home, the place where he lived until the fated encounter with Voldemort. Located in Lavenham, England, Lavenham, the medieval village itself includes more than 300 protected heritage properties and appeared as Godric’s Hollow in the films. Two private rooms are available for rent, each accommodating up to two guests, with a full English breakfast included. You’ll have your own entrance, a four-poster bed, TV, Wi-Fi, and an en-suite bathroom along with a private guest sitting room that has a log fire and courtyard garden.
This adorable historic cottage is located in the little town of Albion, California along what must be one of the world’s most stunning stretches of coastline. Exterior shots were used in the TV series “Murder, She Wrote” and many scenes were also shot just north in Mendocino which was established in the 1850s, now designated as a historical landmark with Victorian buildings and saltbox homes. The cottage itself is pet-friendly and includes three bedrooms although the hosts prefer just two occupants, making it ideal for a romantic stay. It’s been in the hosts’ family since 1908 and features museum-quality art and antiques along with original features and modern amenities. The kitchen even includes the original 1940s fridge and an antique dishwasher.
This large and luxurious 3,600-square-foot custom home was used in the filming of an episode of the “Breaking Bad” series when Jesse suited up in their Vamanos Pest uniforms and entered the house before changing into their iconic hazmat suits. The hosts make it an even more unique stay by including hazmat suits, Vamanos Pest uniforms, and a self-tour map that includes more of the show’s filming sites. It includes four bedrooms, accommodating up to 16, with highlights a billiards loft that has s a pool table and a 55″ TV, children’s play areas inside and out, and an outdoor living space that includes a gas grill, bar, and furnished lounge area with a gas fire pit.
This magnificent villa was used to represent a villa on Italy’s Amalfi Coast in the final scene of HBO’s “Entourage” series. While it definitely plays the part well, it’s actually in Los Angeles allow guest to experience a slice of the good life at a relatively affordable price point. It serves as a spa retreat, complete with multiple fireplaces and fountains. You’ll have the south-facing suite which overlooks the Romanesque-style pool. It accommodates two in a comfy king-size bed and also includes a fireplace, cable TV, and sound system.
Overlooking Island Harbour Marina on the Isle of Wight which lies off England’s south coast, this rental is the original Spice Bus that was used in 1997’s “Spice World” featuring the famous Spice Girls. The interior was transformed into accommodation designed for living out “every fan’s wildest dreams” and there’s even a bar, restaurant, and small shop right on-site. It accommodates up to three and includes two floors, with a double bed and one single bed. There’s a spacious seating area with a table and Union Jack cinema-style chairs where you can relax and watch TV or listen to “Wannabe” on repeat on the old school CD player. Just outside the bus is a block with a bathroom and a kitchenette area.
This mansion was featured in “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and it was also where Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner recently wed. It has the feel of an ancient royal palace – in fact, the interior was restored to its former 18th-century sophistication, so guests can experience living like royalty with 21st-century amenities, of course. It has nine bedrooms, all with their own private bathrooms, and countless luxuries like a gorgeous pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Continental breakfast, daily housekeeping, and a garden/pool maintenance staff are all included. Upon request, chef and/or butler service is available as well as shuttles, activities, and laundry service.
The perfect place for Marvel fans, this lakeside cabin served as the hideout for Tony Stark, AKA Ironman, Pepper, and daughter Morgan at the beginning of “Avengers: Endgame.” It accommodates up to six, located on a private property in the middle of Bouckaert Farm, just 30 minutes from Atlanta. Guests can enjoy fishing, swimming, hiking, watching horse shows, exploring iconic movie sets, and making S’mores around the fire at the end of the day.
If you’ve ever watched “Girls,” when Shoshanna left New York for Tokyo, she moved into an apartment that was practically its own character, looking more like a work of art. Located in Tokyo’s Mitaka-shi district, you can rent one too via Airbnb if you’re looking to soak up creative energy and enjoy lots of color. The Reversible Destiny Lofts accommodate two and can be rented for a minimum of one week, allowing guests to “try out living in an artwork.” It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind type of stay yet it includes all the essentials from Wi-Fi to a kitchen and washing machine.
Stay in a private room in a Victorian home used as a set for the feature films “Definitely, Maybe” with Ryan Reynolds, “Solitary Man” with Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito, and the TV series “Damages” with Glenn Close. It’s located in a quiet yet highly walkable Brooklyn neighborhood only a few minutes’ walk from the subway that will take you right into Manhattan. It can accommodate two adults and possibly one child though the host notes that it isn’t suitable for infants or toddlers due to the stairs. It includes a TV with premium cable and a DVD player along with a mini-fridge, coffee pot, electric kettle, and kitchen cart with china, mugs and juice glasses. Guests have access to the kitchen and a laundry room is available too.
What better place to stay than a Creole mansion while in New Orleans? This magnificent home is within walking distance of the French Quarter and was used in “Interview with a Vampire.” That means you can live an elegant vampire lifestyle in a place where Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kristen Dunst all worked at creating the classic flick. It has an incredibly interesting history too as the subject of an 1858 Louisiana Supreme Court Decision in which Louise Vitry was allowed to keep her house and her seven slaves prior to the Civil War. You’ll hear the foghorns from the boats along the Mississippi River and enjoy features like 14′ ceilings, original fireplaces, and a mahogany staircase.
