What Is It? This art museum is in an Italian Renaissance building and covers art dating back thousands of years. There are tens of thousands of pieces in this art collection, including paintings, sculptures, photos, and exhibits.
Why Do It? This museum offers opportunities to learn about the 17th Century, 18th Century, 19th Century, and more modern works of art from all around the world, and it’s a reason many make the day trip to Dayton if they live within driving distance.
Good to Know: The Dayton Art Institute is open from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm, Sundays from noon to 5 pm, and open late until 8 pm on Thursdays. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for youth and college students, and free for children aged six and younger.
