Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is one of the top vacation destinations in the United States – or at least within the South! Trees protrude from the brand new deck that surrounds the small but gorgeous treetop dwelling. A hot tub also overlooks the surrounding landscape, and the most beautiful staircase cascades guests down to ground level. Inside is a modern chic design that’s a little bit rugged in the best way. From the blue barn doors to the wooden accents, this place will make you swoon.

Is it a cabin or a treehouse? We think both! Logs construct the interior and exterior, while the interior exclusively features fun attributes like a cat walk leading to the game room, and the back of the home is stacked at three stories high! We also love the funky windows that look like they belong in a fun, imaginative childhood playhouse. But overall, there are all of the conveniences of any traditional family home.
The Poplar in Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek
While only having a few reviews, it’s impossible to overlook this newly constructed, modern-yet-earthy elevated dwelling. The deck has contemporary touches while still blending seamlessly with the surrounding trees, and the outdoors seem to become one with the interior. Barn doors, natural-toned wood, and hotel-worthy sleeping spaces would turn almost any city dweller into a nature lover.
The Dogwood in Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek
Dogwood Treehouse is a grand treehouse rental that provides gorgeous nature views in the forest. Built by Pete Nelson of the Treehouse Masters TV show, the quality and attention to detail are impeccable. The sturdy staircase leads you to the covered viewing area, where you can kick back and savor the stunning nature vistas. The interior is tastefully furnished and includes wooden features, as well as a bedroom with quality bedding, a bathroom with a rainfall shower, and a kitchenette. It’s also kept warm year-round with the green HVAC system.
Contemporary Chalet With Stunning View
Luxury home meets treehouse in this high-in-the-sky abode that is near all of the major attractions – Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Inside is the equivalent of a dream home with its rich wood flooring, seamless color palette and downright memorable kitchen. The recreational room features retro arcade games and a pool table.
The Willow in Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek
Crawl up the ladder into the coziest loft, or just spend nights out on the porch while taking in the Tennessee foliage. This is a relatively new treehouse that is certainly more striking than any structure you would find in some kid’s backyard. Another glorious abode in the woods, the Magnolia sits among the evergreens in Gatlinburg’s Treehouse Grove community. Managed mostly by the same vacation rental company, these treehouses typically look super new, and have many modern aesthetics. We can really get on board with these luxurious treehouses that are sure to awaken your inner child.
The Maple in Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek
The kitchen may be small, but the large deck makes up for it! And who really needs a kitchen when you’re vacationing in Gatlinburg, where restaurants are abundant? While officially named the Maple Treehouse, it is also referred to as the Honeymoon Treehouse. While not mentioned in the description, there seems to be some type of geodesic structure on the property.
The Hemlock in Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek
Get away from it all at this peaceful escape, which is a vibrant treehouse rental designed by Pete Nelson of the inspirational Treehouse Masters TV program. This is your chance to book a stay at one of these incredible treetop villas, which includes special touches like a stocked kitchenette with a mini fridge and a semi-circular view deck where you have a bird’s eye view of the surrounding forest. From here, the dense woodland provides 800 miles of trails that connect through the Great Smoky Mountains, offering endless opportunities for adventure.
