This magical Christmas train ride brings the beloved holiday story to life, recreating scenes from the charming tale in a professional theatrical production. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas, just like the characters from the film, as the music-filled theatrical experience immerses you into the story — as if you jumped right into the pages of the book by Chris Van Allsburg.
This year’s production will include the largest North Pole set up in the history of the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. As you make your way to the North Pole, you can sip hot chocolate, sing Christmas carols, and meet with characters from the movie. Upon arrival at the North Pole, Santa Claus and his elves will board the train to meet with all the families and each child will receive a silver bell from Santa’s sleigh as the first gift of Christmas.
Your magical train ride from Miami to the North Pole and back will last approximately one hour. Be sure to arrive early to check in so you don’t miss the train — as the story says, “there would be no Christmas without the Polar Express arriving on time.”
The Polar Express Train Ride is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. You can experience this Christmas tradition from Nov. 10 – Dec. 30, 2018. Prices vary by dates and class of service. Children under the age of 2 can ride for free if they sit in an adult’s lap — just don’t forget your infant’s free golden ticket at check in.
