Bend, Oregon is a trendy destination with everything adventure seekers dream about. There are lots of things to do in this cool city, as it’s home to local breweries, locally inspired restaurants, and a community that is heavily connected with itself – we are jealous if you live here. A staycation can mean hanging out close to, or where you live, but we also think it can mean going somewhere that doesn’t involve a lot of traversing or navigating to have a great time. These incredible hotels, Airbnbs and other rentals in the area are close to adventure while flaunting attributes that could entice guests to stay onsite through the entire getaway.
One of the best hotels in Bend near the Old Mill District, Riverhouse on the Deschutes takes the hotel experience and meshes it seamlessly with the outdoors. Book a room that has a balcony extending over the rushing river, and enjoy the tall trees, scenic bridges, and lavish outdoor lounging areas. Definitely stop by the restaurant for breakfast and indulge in local favorites. Even the oatmeal is incredible, with Oregon grown hazelnuts and various dried fruits.
A popular spa resort in Oregon, Pronghorn Resort is enveloped with the sloping peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Oxford Hotel has definitely earned all of its awards. Yes, expect a traditional hotel experience, but with roots that run deep into the local environment. Even right down to details like the soap, which hails from the Bend Soap Company (stop by and stock up on goats milk lotion), the hotel focuses on all things Bend. And further following in the area’s footsteps, pets are welcome! Choose from a pillow menu (for real), and even take advantage of loaner guitars. That’s just so “Bend.”
Ornate, traditional, lavish – ready to feel pampered? The home is absolutely stunning, and generous in size, too. Details are everywhere, right down to the cabinetry and furniture.
