Since becoming an official Major League Soccer team in 2013, Orlando City SC has built a strong fanbase in Orlando. In March 2017, Orlando City SC unveiled its brand new downtown stadium, bringing an entirely new match day experience for Lions fans. Whether you come with the kids, round up your friends or enjoy a date night out, Orlando City games don’t disappoint.

Come early to enjoy the lively pregame action before the match. Make sure to don your favorite purple threads before joining the party, then visit one of the nearby bars or join the group of supporters rallying. Stay to watch the colorful march escorted by a corps of drummers with smoke-filled clouds of purple, as supporter clubs will gather before kickoff and march into the stadium in a lively display of solidarity with chants that drown out the sounds of downtown.
You’ve got two big supporter clubs to choose from, the Iron Lion Firm and The Ruckus. With membership, these clubs offer access to discounted tickets, game day gear and a chance to meet like-minded fans that offer a unique tailgating experience. You’ll also have the chance to be a part of the memorable march into the stadium.
There isn’t a bad seat in the house, but it’s important to choose wisely in order to get the match day experience you’re looking for. Those looking for a crazy, loud, flag-waving experience with thousands of fellow fans, then “The Wall” is where you need to be. The all-standing section is mostly filled with members of the two supporter groups and is the loudest and most energetic section. This section is a mix of flags, smoke and fans jumping and chanting for the entire 90 minutes of the game. However, no matter where you sit, you can join in on the spirited songs and chants choreographed to the action on the field.
Depending on where you want to sit and who Orlando City SC is playing, you’ll find that a game day ticket is very affordable. Tickets can go as low as $20. If you want to kick up your game day experience up a notch, there are also group packages and luxury suite options. Find more information here.
When you come to an Orlando City match, you’ll see a lot of families in attendance. While the crowd certainly gets energetic at times, kids will delight in soaking up all the sports action. They can also get up close to Orlando City’s mascot Kingston, an anthropomorphized and “bulked up” lion with dreadlocks.
Post Match Fun
Before heading home, you can stop by one of the many nearby bars for a drink. You’ll often find game day specials throughout downtown, while Wall St Plaza, Lion’s Pride Orlando, Elixir Bar Room and Hash House, The Yard Bar and The Hammered Lamb also have away game watch parties.
