Nothing says fall quite like a day in a pumpkin patch. Luckily, a Florida farm offers visitors that and so much more at its annual fall festival that’s sure to be fun for the whole family.
Hunsader Farms in Bradenton, Fla., hosts its annual Pumpkin Festival every October. Floridians can flock to the farm for three weekends and enjoy fall festivities such as a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and hayrides — just to name a few.
This year, the farm’s corn maze is designed as a memorial to the region’s late mascot, Snooty the Manatee. If guests don’t feel like getting lost in a corn maze, there’s still plenty to enjoy. The festival includes a craft show, live music, scarecrow displays, a petting zoo and a chainsaw sculptor is on site crafting unique creations out of pumpkins.
If you’re looking for something more active, take part in the rock climbing wall, power jump or zipline. Children can go on a train ride at the farm or channel their inner cowboy or cowgirl on a pony ride.
Be sure to come hungry, as Hunsader Farms’ Pumpkin Festival is full of delicious treats. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a slice of pumpkin pie or a cup of homemade ice cream. If you’re in the mood for something more savory, try the farm roasted sweet corn. Don’t forget to check out the fresh produce for something tasty to bring home.
