Alice in Wonderland is one of the most beloved books and movies of all time because let’s be honest…we’re all a bit mad after all. Hatter and Hare is a new bar/restaurant in Phoenix that recently opened on Seventh Street and Bethany Home Road. There’s a wonderful mural that depicts your favorite characters here, as well as quirky furniture, vintage décor, and lots of vibrant colors.

The cocktails are just as creative with signature drinks like the champagne-based Cheshire Cat, the vodka-based White Queen, and the whiskey-based Tweedledee. Other themed drinks are the Humpty Dumpty, the Jabberwocky, and the Side Cat. Stop by for happy hour between 4pm and 7pm for drink discounts and to check out this awesome space. Another fun way to drink and socialize here is to get one of the group-size cocktails that are served in over-sized teacups.

The food is worth coming for too, especially if you’re looking for a late-night foodie fix. We love the Queens Platter for artisan meats and cheeses, as well as the “rabbit snack” salads like the Executioner’s Chop. On the menu, you’ll also find toasted sandwiches with clever names and bar snacks to satisfy your mid-cocktail cravings.

Hatter and Hare is closed on Mondays but open Tuesdays through Fridays from 4 pm to 2 am and on weekends from 11am to 2am. Whether you live in Phoenix or are just visiting for a few days, this is a really fun place to throw a “tea party” without tea and tasty cocktails instead! If you’re tired of going to the same old bars every weekend, shake things up with this fun and creative place for your next nightlife excursion.
