Family owned and operated since 1994, Grandad’s Apples N’ Such is home to 20 different varieties of apples in its orchard, and the farm grows pumpkins, corn, peaches and mountain cabbage too. Visitors can pick their own apples from the orchard or choose from a variety of pre-picked fresh apples from the Country Store.
The Country Store and Bakery are located inside the barn, which sits on 18 acres of apple and peach trees. The bakery is famous for its apple cider doughnuts, but you can also purchase other delicious treats like apple pie, caramel apples, fresh apple cider and apple ice cream. You can pick up other fresh items at the country store, including local honey, locally canned goods, apple butter, fall merchandise and crafts, and more.
No fall outing is complete without getting lost in a corn maze or a trip to a pumpkin patch. Grandad’s plants 5 acres of corn each year and cuts paths through the field in a unique pattern for plenty of twisty fun. The farm also grows up to 5 acres of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes each year so visitors can find everything from baby pumpkins to extra large pumpkins at Grandad’s Pumpkin Patch.
Other fun activities at the farm include a cow train, a giant jump pillow and an apple launcher. Before you go, be sure to let the kids say hi to some furry friends at Grandad’s Barnyard Corral. They’ll have a chance to meet a variety of farm animals, including goats and donkeys, and you can feed them a little snack too. This way, everyone leaves grandad’s house with a full tummy and plenty of goodies to take home — just like it should be.
