First, you’ll find plenty of fresh produce. Depending on the season, they offer a wide variety of fresh vegetables like squash, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, greens, herbs, potatoes and Florida avocados to name a few. Plus, there’s plenty of fresh fruits including apples, pears, bananas, melons, berries and citrus fruits, as well as fresh flowers like snapdragons and sunflowers. Many of which you can pick yourself in their famous “U-Pick” fields.
But, that’s just the beginning of the deliciousness you’ll find here. In the farm store, you’ll also find other treats like local honey, freshly made pasta sauces, homemade bread, jams, jellies, dips, cheeses and salad dressings. They also have a café on-site that serves breakfast and lunch seven days a week including sandwiches, farm fresh salads, desserts and some Southern favorites like fried green tomatoes.
If you want to have a perfect fall adventure though, make sure to visit during their Fall Festival that takes place beginning September 29th, 2018 and runs through the whole month of October. In addition to the Farm Store and Fresh Harvest Café, they’ll also have a pumpkin patch for picking your own pumpkins, as well as Paint Your Own Pumpkins.
Plus, Farmer Mike’s is back with a new corn maze for this year that they promise is one of the most fun and challenging designs they’ve done yet. Spread out over 15 years, it’s sure to be a blast whether you decide to attempt it during the day or up the ante and go at night with a flashlight. The maze also features a large haunted portion (10 acres alone), so get ready to be scared!
