Out in the sandy plains of the American Southwest, is the Amangiri resort.

If you like, you will be provided a wellness coach, who will encourage you to listen internally and help you to identify your goals. The water pavilion features as tone lined step pool with awe-inspiring desert views and is temperature controlled.
The resort’s open-plan kitchen functions under the inspiration of the Southwest. The warm atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The focal point of the restaurant is the traditional wood-fired oven, and the cooking methods surrounding this feature include hot stones and typical southwestern dishes.
Enjoy these modern interpretations alongside traditional dishes on the private dining lounge that overlooks the surrounding buttes. Take in the view at sunset and you won’t be sorry.
Sometimes when you elect to stay in a remote resort, you sacrifice activities in favor of the serenity that couples with seclusion. However, while it is off the grid and tranquil, there’s no shortness of adrenaline fueled activities to keep you entertained.
For instance, the on-site rock formations. Embedded with ladder rungs and permanent cables, safe climbing is a priority. You’re introduced to a guide who will fill you with new perspectives and information on the surrounding area.
Take a trip in a hot air balloon and absorb the scenery from a high altitude perspective. As dawn rises the air baloons take off into the sky, giving you a morning of a lifetime. Other activities include unearthing fossils under the watchful eye of a paleontological interpreter, with whom you will excavate the Tibbet Spring Bone Bed Quarry and pay a visit to dinosaur tracks.
There is also a nearby lake with more than 2,000 miles of shoreline ready to be canoed for unlimited hours of exploration.
The exterior of the suites and luxury rooms at Amangiri are fundamentally minimalist, while the interior is tastefully decorated with pristine comfort in mind. They are constructed with natural materials and designed to reflect the quality of the surrounding desert. Features include concrete walls, naturally harvested timber and stone floors.
The outdoor lounge and fireplace has incomparable desert views for all, but certain suites include pools and roof terraces for equally breathtaking views. Suites feature perks unique to each room, some including plunge pools or sunset views, others with sky terraces or mesa views.
