The Netherlands is wedged against the North Sea, next to Belgium and Germany. When looking up pictures of this place, you will see stunning landscape features, like glistening canals accented with beautifully constructed bridges, fields of wildflowers that span in front of windmills, and of course the most enchanting structures. While it may be tempting to immerse into the buzz of Amsterdam, it would be far worth every traveler’s time to book one of these fairytale cottages in the Netherlands!
Flowers line the walkway on the way up to the door of this abode. It’s a grand welcoming. However inside takes a bit more of a contemporary turn, but the theme is equally as magical. Marvel over unusual light fixtures, and streamlined decor. But if wanting to feel that whimsical vibe, just step outside.
Hanzel and Gretel could even find themselves being lured to this tiny little dwelling amongst native foliage. The simplistic roof pitch just gives the cottage that traditional feel. Inside there are numerous homey touches, including warmth emanating from the wood-burning stove.
That roof! That cozy living room! And all of those captivating flowers! You better bet this is a stunner. Enjoy a traditional coffee break outside with a pastry and light roast, while leaving the French doors open to bring in plenty of fresh air. Life just seems a little simpler in this ambient cottage in the Netherlands.
The outside spaces are equally as lovely as the clean-cut interior. Trees bloom all around the home, there are spaces to meander, and you can sit outside drinking a glass of wine while taking in the gently sloping hills. Hosts have even placed various types of swings to lounge upon while enjoying the amazing weather.
It’s tiny, it’s precious, and it has everything you could need for a getaway in the Netherlands. Upon walking inside guests will notice a small food preparation area and stairs that lead to a snug loft. A back deck opens up to the expansive land behind the teeny tiny abode.
Traditional brick structuring and surrounding foliage already give this little guest house an endearing appeal. But after entering the clean-cut space, then finding your way outside, you’ll be even more stunned. Recreating outside is likely one of the best things to do here, as the grounds are gorgeous and there is a wood-fired hot tub.
It’s a cottage! It’s a tower! Okay well, it’s kind of both, and it’s covered in brightly colored vines and has the most interesting interior because of its circular shape. Staying in the spring or fall prove to both be magical as the foliage is at a distinct intensity, but in the winter when the snow has fallen, being right up against that little pond creates some seriously pretty scenery.
When staying here, you’ll be close to a quaint village. This village can be accessed by utilizing the two bikes provided by the hosts. As if the pond and gardens on site weren’t beautiful enough, just wait until you get out and about the area. As with all of our listings, expect lush foliage, the coziest living spaces, and an overall majestic feel.
The surroundings of the bed resemble something out of a medieval castle. Dramatic archways attract guests to the super comfy sleeping quarters, and it is extremely romantic. Moroccan lanterns hang from the ceiling, and outside guests will find naturalistic benches and something extra special. A finish sauna! Have a spa day all to yourself, and have a refreshing outdoor shower.
Detached from the main home, the brick cottage is encapsulated by gardens and greenery. Guests can access forest walks in just a few minutes. But enjoy the beauty of the property too, whether it be the horses or various scenery. A veranda sits outside with comfy outdoor furniture.
While presenting much more modern on the inside, this cottage has some of the same features as the previous. Bikes are provided so guests can explore the nearby village, and the outdoor grounds are impeccable. But we are kind of feeling the yellow furniture and bright white colors on the inside!
