Bishop Cider allows adults to feel like a kid again while still giving them the grown-up option of tossing a few back. Cidercade is a boozy arcade brainchild of the cidery, and the modern industrial space is filled to the brim with childhood favorite arcade game complemented by several amazing on tap ciders. Located in Dallas’ Design District, it is described as a grittier, cooler Dave and Busters with astronomically better booze. It’s also pretty awesome that the cider making equipment can be seen through a huge glass wall that separates the play space.

A total of 165 new and old school games are found throughout Cidercade with two-player games more predominate, as it’s always more fun with a friend. Sections have themes, for example, Fighter’s Row is loaded with battle games, and another portion is devoted to different Pinball editions like AC/DC and Kiss. A batman racing game is one of the more modern additions to the arcade.
Ciders are made in-house for the most part and up to 24 variations are available at a time. Quality and care are evident in the crisp, sweet flavors which also tout a hefty ABV. Apple Pineapple, Lemon, Pineapple Habanero, Salted Water Melon and Blood Orange are just a few of the tasty selections. Bishop Cider packages their product, so you can find it all over Texas. Cidercade does offer a small snack selection as well, and plenty of tables are available.
Since mainly focusing on booze, Cidercade is cool with outside food, and even food deliveries, and Social Pies or Pie Tap remain on the “recommended” food list. Keep in mind, you cannot bring in outside drinks, and you really don’t want to miss out on the cider anyway! On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a food truck rolls in to serve up gourmet grilled cheese, barbecue, sausage, hot dogs or other mouthwatering deliciousness.
Note that Cidercade only allows those 21 and older to stay after 8:00pm. General hours are Sunday through Thursday 12:00pm to 12:00am, Friday 12:00pm to 1:00 am and Saturday 10:00am-1:00am.
