Visit Heritage Sandy Springs Museum

Heritage Sandy Springs Museum is within the Williams-Payne House, a gorgeous 1800s structure at the Heritage Green Park. First, it was located on Mount Vernon Highway and State Route 400. The home Recently underwent renovation, and exhibits like “Sandy Springs: Land and People” which depicts vast differences in Sandy Springs over time, beginning with native Americans, is front and center. If you’re lucky, you’ll be there on a weekend where Historic Dance is demonstrated.

While housing the museum, Heritage Green is a cultural experience in itself. At the administrative office, you’ll find whittled wood, peach seeds and nuts that have been transformed into turtles, army men, and birds by Moses Young Robinson. Merging with Atlanta’s locally inspired, trendy-modern food theme, Il Gallio cooks up the freshest, most authentic Italian dishes. It’s the closest thing to actually going to Italy.
