Picturesque Napa Valley in California is such a popular tourist destination that visitors from all over the globe travel there to get a glimpse of the amazing views and of course, sample the world-famous wines. There are more than 400 wineries scattered throughout the valley, offering a variety of wines including Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. You can choose from a variety of experiences including complimentary tastings at some vineyards, wine and lunch pairings at others, and some that even offer full experiences like behind the scenes tours, cruises or blend-your-own winemaking. It’s not just about the wine here though. You and your partner can also stroll through a local farmers market, go shopping, visit a wildlife sanctuary or go for a breathtaking hot air balloon ride high above the valley.
Although you may not be familiar with Sedona, you’ll understand why it’s become such a popular getaway for couples the moment you arrive there. Not only is the surrounding scenery of vibrant red rocks and majestic green forests beautiful to take in, but the city has a peaceful, calming feel to it. Plus, there’s an endless amount of things to do here including hiking and biking, taking a Jeep or Hummer adventure tour through the rocky terrain, dining out at a fabulous restaurant or visiting the famous Chapel of the Holy Cross. The beautiful seaside town of Charleston, SC is filled with Southern charm from its brightly colored buildings to its cobblestone streets. There are tons of shops and restaurants to explore along the streets of its downtown historic district, as well as the popular market that houses hundreds of homemade wares from local artisans. You can also tour the city by trolley, horse-drawn carriage or even by boat, and at night, take a spooky ghost tour. The Silver Queen Gondola that takes you straight up to the top of Aspen Mountain provides breathtaking views. And then, you can finish off the day with a gourmet meal you helped prepare yourself at a couples cooking class at the Cooking School of Aspen.
Although Jackson might not be the first place you’d think of for a romantic getaway, it’s actually a very popular spot for couples’ vacations, thanks to its breathtaking scenery and unique experiences. You and your significant other can share a horseback ride or an exhilarating dog sled ride, relax with a couples massage or go on a snowmobile ride together through Yellowstone National Park. There are also plenty of area resorts that offer special packages or features for couples that include Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces and breakfast in bed.
