Hotel Ketchum (Prices & Photos)
Newly converted and renovated, Hotel Ketchum has been transformed into a trendy escape for snowbirds. A nod to the herding past of Idaho, an adorable sheep theme is subtly carried throughout the bright, modern space. Book a mountain facing room and watch the sun rise through massive picture windows, right from your large plush bed. Bathrooms have impressively large showers with lovely tile, and other spa touches. Cookies are often available in the lobby, and a sustaining breakfast is served in the onsite restaurant.
Limelight Hotel Ketchum (Prices & Photos)
Clean lines along with stone and wood accents epitomize the new style of Ketchum. Everything manages to feel non-industrial, while very sleek, like the Limelight Hotel. Best Western Plus Kentwood Lodge (Prices & Photos)
Exteriorly, this is quite a striking Best Western—the same contemporary wood and stone construction carry through the remainder of the building. Rooms come across as being a little dated with green carpet, but once you step in, it actually is quite fitting. It’s like the design teleported from the 90s, having the charm of that era while feeling new and fresh. Commons areas are so welcoming, the indoor pool is lovely and of course you get all the extras that typically come along with the chain hotel. The price isn’t half bad either, so it’s a win for sure.
Tamarack Lodge (Prices & Photos)
Located within walking distance of the easier to ski Dollar Mountain, Tamarack Lodge is “no fuss”, but still very cozy. Upgraded rooms are ginormous, with stacked fireplaces, huge mountain view windows and beautiful beamed ceilings. The price sticks around the same as Best Western Plus, and there’s a large indoor pool with an outdoor hot tub.
Silver Creek Hotel (Prices & Photos)
Simplicity at its finest, the Silver Creek Hotel sits on the lower end of the price spectrum—a refreshing break in a somewhat high-cost destination. Rooms are basic, but streamline and nice, while the outdoor pool sits right against the mountains. Consistent in and out, it’s a sure bet, and very close to great skiing.
Wood River Inn and Suites (Prices & Photos)
Contemporary meets traditional in this Hailey, Idaho establishment—this town sits right within the cluster of Sun Valley and is extremely close to Ketchum. Breakfast is diverse and generous, featuring egg burritos, pancakes and other hot items for a sturdy start to a day of exploration and adventure, while complimentary ice cream in the lobby, and bottled water in your room, are extra perks. The indoor pool is a much-welcomed amenity after braving the fierce cold and icy slopes all day—there’s a hot tub too.
