Meriton Suites Kent Street
Meriton Suites is a good name to know if you’re planning a trip to Australia. The Kent Street suites are right in the heart of the city, and each of the 430 suites here include a full kitchen, luxury bathroom, and internal laundry facilities. Come to stay here if you are traveling with your family or plan to stay a while, because the Kent Street suites are about three times as big as a standard hotel room. Some of the suites also have two or three bedrooms for extra privacy when you’re traveling with family or friends. And the penthouse suites accommodate up to six guests. It stands 56 stories high and has an indoor pool, spa, steam room, sauna, and fitness center onsite. When you stay here, you’ll be close to many of the city’s top attractions, including Circular Quay and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
The Old Clare Hotel
The Old Clare is a 62-room boutique hotel that includes two historic buildings: the Carlton & United Breweries Administration Building and the Clare Hotel Pub. It’s located in the Kensington Street precinct, and no two rooms are alike. There are seven suite styles, and the Clare Bar, which adjoins the hotel, is a fun place to eat, drink, and dance. The hotel also has a rooftop pool that is open to hotel guests, a 24-hour gym, and bicycle rentals here. In-room massage and babysitting services are offered as well. Foodies should make sure to stop by Automata, which offers a five-course menu for dinner and a three-course menu for lunch designed by Chef Clayton Wells.
Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney
You’ll be just a five or ten-minute walk away from the popular Rocks District and Circular Quay when you stay at this Sydney hotel. Guests enjoy staying here because of the Amora Day Spa onsite, free Wi-Fi, and the spacious rooms. Deluxe king rooms, for example, are located on floors four through 21 and offer views of the city and Jamison Street. Meanwhile, the Jamison Club executive suites are on floors 30 through 34 and offer amazing views of the city skyline and Darling Harbour. The Gallery Bar onsite serves classic cocktails and fine wines along with a light seasonal food menu. The Gallery Restaurant here is a great place to get breakfast.
Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney
For an elegant place to stay in walking distance of the Sydney Opera House, consider the Radisson Blu. This hotel is in the previous location of the Fairfax newspaper and the bank of New South Wales. Today, guests stay here to be close to top performances and do business near Wynyard Station. There’s an onsite spa at the Radisson Blu, as well a free Wi-Fi, and the Fax Bar off the hotel lobby. Guests can use the 15-meter indoor pool and sauna, have breakfast in the Lady Fairfax Room, and then have dinner in the Bentley Restaurant & Bar. This is a highly recommended restaurant in Sydney, even if you don’t stay at the hotel.
The Langham Sydney
The Langham is one of the very best hotels in town if you’re looking for luxury. It’s located in the Rocks District of Sydney and offers history, tranquility, and a quaint vibe. There are 98 rooms and suites here, and the terraces give guests lovely views of the city skyline. Bistro Remy provides unique dining experiences with fresh produce and classic breakfast fare, and it’s also fun to sip afternoon tea at Palm Court. The onsite spa offers massages and body treatments, along with a 20-meter indoor pool. You’ll be about 25-45 minutes from the Sydney airport when you stay here.
Park Hyatt Sydney
The Park Hyatt in Sydney is another luxurious place to stay because its located on the harbor between the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This hotel is also in the Rocks neighborhood, so it’s easy to walk to all the top attractions nearby. There are 155 guestrooms at the hotel, which have tall glass doors and private balconies. The Living Room and Bar is a great place to grab a classic cocktail, and there is an onsite spa and rooftop pool here. For contemporary dining, The Dining Room offers lovely views of the nearby attractions and features Australian produce and fine local and international wines. Another Meriton Suites location in Sydney worth checking out is on Campbell Street. This hotel offers a different Sydney experience because it’s located in the heart of Chinatown and next to Capitol Theatre. From here, you’ll be able to walk to Central Station and enjoy one of the 247 suites that span 39 floors. The suites here are larger than standard hotel rooms and have all the comforts of home, such as a kitchenette, internal laundry facilities, and plush king-sized bedding. There’s also a spa, fitness center, sauna, and 20-meter indoor lap pool. Stay here to experience the amazing markets, flavors, and culture of Chinatown.
QT Sydney
This is a boutique hotel that is edgy, intriguing, and modern. There are 200 guest suites here in the historic State Theatre and Gowings buildings, which have fascinating Art Deco, Italian, and Gothic architecture. The Gowings Bar & Grill is open for all three meals, and the spa is open every day for massage, facials, and other treatments.
Medusa Hotel
The Medusa is another highly recommended boutique hotel that’s on a quiet section of street on Darlinghurst Road. It has an inner-city vibe that’s unique and artsy, surrounded by creative thinking locals in the neighborhood. Stay here to be inspired during your trip to Sydney! There is no pool, gym, or restaurant here, but the staff can recommend great options nearby.
