This is a great place to shop for unique gifts, relax at outdoor cafes, eat farm-to-table cuisine, browse fascinating museum, and take a boat ride on Lake Champlain. Fortunately, there are also a lot of excellent places to stay in town as you explore everything the city has to offer. This Hilton hotel is located in the downtown area of Burlington and right along Lake Champlain. You’ll be just two blocks from the Church Street Marketplace and only minutes from Interstate 89 and the Burlington International Airport too. Other nearby attractions are the waterfront bike path, the ECHO Lake Aquarium, and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. Hotel perks include lake view rooms, views of the Adirondack Mountains, indoor pool with whirlpool, and fitness room. Pets are allowed here for a non-refundable deposit of $50. This is a family-friendly option that has a children’s food menu, high chairs, and cribs. The onsite restaurant is the Mounted Cat, which is in the lobby and has a rustic contemporary look with design materials that are native to Vermont. It’s open for meals daily from 6:30am to 10pm.

This is an independent hotel that combines both rustic and modern elements near the shores of Lake Champlain. Various room options are available, including the whirlpool king bedroom that has a jetted whirlpool tub and walk-in stone shower. You can listen to live music here on Friday nights, there’s a gym with daily yoga classes, and Hotel Vermont also has an in-house massage therapy room. Within just steps of the hotel, you’ll find highly recommended dining options, including Juniper at Hotel Vermont, Bleu Northeast Seafood, and Hen of the Wood. Vermont is home to many wonderful bed and breakfasts, including the Lang House. This is an 1881 Queen Anne Victorian home that was converted to a B&B inn in 2000. It has 11 guest bedrooms, antique and modern furnishings, and eco-friendly toiletries. Each room is unique and has free Wi-Fi. Onsite parking is also available. The daily breakfasts consist of egg-based dishes, pancakes, French toast, granola, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and more. It’s also three miles from the airport and in walking distance to downtown. This Marriott hotel on Cherry Street has been recently renovated and is near Lake Champlain, Church Street Marketplace, and Burlington Town Center. Both business and pleasure travelers love staying here because of the onsite restaurant, Bleu Northeast Seafood, the indoor saline pool, complimentary bicycle use, and high-speed internet. The hotel also offers a business center, fitness facility, and rooms designed with art by Vermont photographer Jim Westphalen. The restaurant here is open for breakfast, dinner, and Sunday brunch and specializes in regional seafood. Pets are not allowed at the Courtyard Burlington Harbor. In total, there are 150 rooms and 11 suites at this hotel, which spans eight floors and has four meeting rooms too. Onsite parking is $10 per day, and valet parking is $15 daily.
Made INN Vermont B&B (Prices & Photos)
Another wonderful bed and breakfast option in Burlington is called Made INN Vermont. This is an urban-chic boutique B&B that’s hip, stylish, and historic all at the same time. This is a popular place to stay among the Millennial crowd and has four distinct guest rooms with private detached bathrooms down the hall. The inn is located in an 1881 Victorian house that has been transformed into a quirky and eclectic B&B that entices the senses and features lots of local artists’ works. Room rates are approximately $249 to $279 per night with all-inclusive amenities. We also love the Willard Street Inn for a Burlington B&B option because it’s cozy, casual, and comfortable. Here you’ll find 14 guest rooms, private baths, and lots of history in this historic Victorian home. This home was originally built in 1881 for a prominent local businessman and state senator. Today, guests receive chef-plated breakfasts and freshly ground coffee served in the beautiful solarium that overlooks the inn’s gardens. Breakfast is served daily from 8-10am, and many of the ingredients are sourced locally from establishments, such as Snow Hill Farm.
Green Mountain Suites Hotel (Prices & Photos)
The Green Mountain Suites Hotel is a boutique country inn that offers fireside breakfast daily, Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and a fireside reception with dinner and drinks on Mondays through Thursdays. Guests here can use the complimentary fitness center, indoor swimming pool, 24-hour business center, use complimentary Wi-Fi, and enjoy meals at the onsite restaurant and bar. Pets up to a maximum weight are allowed at this hotel for a non-refundable deposit of $45. Valet parking is available for $18, and accessible rooms are available for guests as well.
