It does not have running water in the bus, but there are jugs for drinking and rinsing in the sink. Come here for a private and cozy space away from the busyness of life. You’ll love the views of the forest and wildlife from inside the bus and also appreciate the organic coffee, biodegradable soap, composting toilet, heater, and other amenities provided by the host. There are lots of great mountain biking and hiking trails nearby. The land this bus is on is shared by a few households, so you can hike on it but just be respectful of other residents. It’s a quiet oasis in a juniper and piñon forest that is nine miles east of Durango and eight miles north of the airport. Therefore, it’s an ideal place to enjoy the town but also get away for some peace and quiet. The closest neighbor is a half-mile away, so you’ll get lovely views of the mountains, forests, and fields. However, this Airbnb does not welcome children or pets. There is a yellow lab that lives here and loves to make new friends. The room does not have kitchen privileges or laundry access. Horses are welcome to stay here for an extra $25 fee per night in the summer. This is also a very eco-friendly place to stay where you can learn about solar design and renewable energy.
