If you love apples and a variety of fresh produce, then a stop by Mercier Orchards is a must! This family-owned and operated orchard has been around since 1943 and is now in its fourth generation. Come here for a fun farm day in the spring, summer or fall!

Events on the Farm

There’s always something fun going on at Mercier, especially the ongoing U-pick events. Blossom tours take place in April, U-pick strawberries in May, U-pick blueberries in June, U-pick blueberries and blackberries in July, and U-pick apples in August and September. These are popular among both foodies and families with kids, especially when you hop on a tractor tour around the orchard. Group tours of the farm are available by appointment.

Hard-Pressed Beverages at the Cidery

Something that really sets this orchard apart from others in the area is that it makes its very own, Georgia-grown hard cider. The orchard grows, presses, ferments, and bottles its own hard cider in varieties like Grumpy Granny, Rock Steady Red, and Black Bee. Mercier also makes wine with its apples, blackberries, and peaches. Many of the local restaurants and pubs serve Mercier hard cider and wine, so keep an eye out for it when you’re dining out!

Farm Products for Purchase

Not only clan you pick your own produce here, but you can purchase items in the store to take home with you. For example, many varieties of Mercier’s famous and delicious apples are available in the store between July and December. Here you’ll also find apple butter, nut brittle, apple-baked cookies and doughnut holes, muffin mixes, and pies. There’s also a deli that serves breakfast and lunch at the farm.
