The Fontainebleau in Miami, "Scarface"
The mega hit “Scarface” needs no introduction, and this classic film starring Al Pacino is top-rated. The movie displays Miami’s art deco buildings, the pool at Fontainebleau–one of Miami’s most luxurious resorts, and a massive mansion in Key Biscayne.
Areas of North Florida, "Jaws 2"
“Jaws” has been terrorizing moviegoers for decades, instilling fear of an unforeseen monstrous shark attack. Scenes of the sequel were filmed in North Florida, most notably Okaloosa Island, Navarre Beach, and Destin.
Kennedy Space Center, "Apollo 13"
A major box office hit, “Apollo 13” is arguably one of Tom Hank’s best roles. The Ron Howard flick tells the true story of the ill-fated Apollo mission, and it only made sense to film this classic drama at the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville.
Davie, Boca Raton & Biscayne Bay, "Caddyshack"
Featuring Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield, this beloved classic comedy has become a cult favorite. Fans will recognize the now Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Boca Raton Hotel and Club in Boca Raton and Biscayne Bay in Miami.
Lutz & Lakeland, "Edward Scissorhands"
A classic 90’s Tim Burton quirky romance flick starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, “Edward Scissorhands” was filmed in the town of Lutz with small appearances throughout Florida, most notably at the Southgate Shopping Center in Lakeland.
Villa Vizcaya, "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective"
An over-the-top goofy comedy featuring Jim Carrey, “Ace Ventura” was shot throughout Miami. Here you’ll see shots of the Sun Life Stadium, the pre-renovated home of the Miami Dolphins, and Villa Vizcaya, the grandiose mansion-turned-museum.
Multiple Locations, "2 Fast 2 Furious"
A legacy to Paul Walker, the sequel in the action-packed franchise was filmed all over Florida. Most notable locations are Sylvester Stallone’s mansion in Miami, the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys, and the Versailles Restaurant in Miami.
Daytona Beach, "Monster"
A movie about the real-life prostitute turned serial killer from Daytona Beach, Charlize Theron plays the infamous Aileen Wuornos in this crime drama flick. Here you’ll see glimpses of Central Florida, including her favorite dive bar The Last Resort in Daytona Beach.
Multiple Locations, "The Waterboy"
A classic Adam Sandler comedy about a water boy-turned-athlete who was raised by an overprotective mother, here you’ll see scenes filmed in Orlando’s Citrus Bowl, Stetson University’s DeLand campus, and the EverBank Field in Jacksonville.
Tampa, "Magic Mike"
Stemming from Channing Tatum’s real-life experiences of being a stripper in Tampa, “Magic Mike” highlights locations throughout the city. Catch familiar shots of Bricks Ybor, Pinellas Bayway, Three Rooker Island, and Caddy’s On The Beach in Treasure Island.
